This morning, the 39th edition of the Rally Norte de Extremadura was presented in the press room of the Plasencia City Council, one of the most emblematic sports events in the region, organized by the Escudería Plasencia with the support of the Plasencia City Council. The Sports Councilor, Isabel Blanco, highlighted the importance of this event «not only for its sporting value, but also for the boost it provides to the city and its surroundings,» thanking the organization for their continued effort over almost four decades.
Miguel Ángel Valverde, representative of the Escudería Plasencia, detailed the route and structure of the competition, which will kick off this Friday at 21:00h with the starting ceremony at Plaza Mayor and will take place on Saturday in four main sections, including the iconic Pinajarro and Tranco del Diablo. With a total of eight timed specials, the rally will culminate on Saturday at 21:30h also at Plaza Mayor with the trophy presentation.
Valverde emphasized the organizational effort and joint work with various municipalities and security forces, as well as the importance of respecting the safety measures established for the public. Additionally, he highlighted the participation of young drivers and the renewal of motorsport in Extremadura, despite a transitional period in the number of local entries.
