- On Saturday 21, the arch of the Lusitania bridge will be illuminated from 10 pm to 3 in the morning with the rainbow flag. Calle points out that «it is one of the largest flags that can be seen throughout this June in the entire European Union, so we invite the people of Mérida to come from 10:00 pm, take photos, share on social media, and feel proud of a city with various human rights.»
After the extraordinary proclamation by writer and communicator Bob Pop last Saturday, this week continues the extended program to celebrate LGTBIQ+ Pride of Extremadura, which includes significant developments, especially on the 28th, to celebrate the demonstration that will take place at the Park of Diversity on Paseo de Roma.
Lgtbiq+Diversity delegate José Ángel Calle announced that in this demonstration «there will be a small carriage, but it will broadcast music, accompanying the entire march, for the first time, across the Roman Bridge, from the new town to the center of our city, through the capital of the lone wolf.»
Remember – Calle mentions that tomorrow, all LGTBI programming activities in Extremadura, «activities designed by social organizations with the support and drive of the city of Mérida,» will begin. Specifically, tomorrow the activities called Pride are initiated by neighborhoods, where there will be discussions and conferences on human rights, and benches will be painted with the LGTBI flag.
I also wanted to remind you that on Saturday 21, the arch of the Lusitania bridge will be lit from 10 pm to 3 in the morning with the rainbow flag. «It is one of the largest flags that can be seen throughout the European Union this June, so we invite the people of Mérida to come out at 10 at night, take photos, share on social media, and be proud of a diverse city that respects human rights.»
