Homenaje a Juan Peña «El LeBrijano» en el Festival Flamenco Mérida

  • IV Edición del Festival Famenco Mérida que tendrá lugar en el Teatro María Luisa, del 18 de octubre al 8 de noviembre y reunirá la escena de flamenco más prominente del país.

Juan Peña «El LeBrijano» is the protagonist of the IV Edition of the Flamenco Festival Mérida that will take place at the Teatro María Luisa, from October 18 to November 8, bringing together the most prominent flamenco scene in the country. Therefore, at the poster presentation, which took place yesterday, the Flamenco Mérida 2025 festival was awarded, which his daughter collected on behalf of the whole family, as happened last year with Camarón.

The Universal Flamenco Festival in Mérida, born in 2022, is one of the great bets for flamenco in the region, to «improve the Mérida brand as a cultural tourist destination» Mérida.

At the festival presentation, attended by the mayor, Antonio Rodríguez Osuna, the culture delegate, Antonio Vélez, and the urban planning delegate, Silvia Fernández, the lineup of artists who will form this fourth edition of a festival that is fully established in the city’s calendar was unveiled.

Osuna thanked the promoters for their effort, stating that he was pleased to participate in «Four years ago, the request of promoters who wanted to turn Mérida, a heritage of humanity, into a very intangible reference of humanity.»

On the other hand, regarding the artists who make up the poster, he said, «This festival comes to recognize the delay that was given to such an important art in the history of our country, like flamenco.»

The festival will start on October 18 with «Los Magnificos,» featuring four young artists like Sandra Carrasco, Talagona, Andrés Barrios, and David de Arahal, followed by «Vangas» with Flamenco on October 25, with Antonio Canales, Macarena Ramírez, Carlos Carlosll, and Antonio Lidana.

On November 1, Juan Parrilla, Bernardo Parrilla with Tomasito as a guest artist. On November 7, you can enjoy the hand in hand between Antonio Reyes and Pedro Granaino, to end on November 8 with the program «I Want To Sing» by Jesús Méndez.

Tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks on the website or at any El Corte Inglés center.
