Dispositivo Especial de Tráfico para la Romería al Santuario del Puerto

The Local Police, on the occasion of the traditional Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of El Puerto, informs the public about the traffic rules that will be in effect on April 26 and 27, 2025, in order to preserve road safety, facilitate the transit of attendees, and prevent incidents that may affect the normal development of the event.

ESTABLISHED TRAFFIC RULES:

• The maximum speed on the road to El Puerto will be reduced to 30 km/h during the specified days.
• Overtaking and parking of vehicles on the road and shoulders of the entire road to El Puerto are prohibited.
• The circulation of riding animals in the areas designated for the Pilgrimage is not allowed.
• The passage of heavy vehicles is restricted in the section between the Hospital and the Sanctuary of El Puerto, where regulation controls will be established at both access points.
• On Sunday, April 27, starting at 5:00 p.m., the road to the Sanctuary will be closed to general traffic, with only urban buses and taxis authorized, with the last ascent allowed at 5:15 p.m., must arrive at the Sanctuary before 5:30 p.m. This measure is taken due to the high concentration of people in the esplanade of the Sanctuary during the procession.
• In case of adverse weather conditions that prevent the use of the usual parking areas, it is strongly recommended that the public avoid using private vehicles and, as much as possible, use public transportation to avoid traffic jams.
• Finally, all attendees and residents are asked to cooperate with the Law Enforcement Officers, following their instructions with responsibility and good disposition. Your cooperation is essential for the good order and splendor of this popular celebration.
